Insane Beauty (Su): Gilda’s sheer beauty can drive others insane. This ability affects all humanoid within 30 feet who are viewing Gilda in conditions brighter than dim light. Those who look directly upon her must succeed at a DC 21 Will save or gain the confused condition for 1d6 rounds. A creature that succeeds at the save is immune to Gilda’s insane beauty for 24 hours. Gilda may suppress or resume this ability as a free action.

Weep (Su): As a standard action, Gilda can unsettle those near her when she cries. Any creature within 30 feet who can hear Gilda weeping becomes shaken unless it succeeds at a DC 21 Will saving throw. This ability can’t cause a creature to become frightened or panicked. This is a mind-affecting fear effect that relies on audible components.

A fey from the First World, Gilda was born from the nature itself where she spent her life consumed by irrational depression and with nothing but the rock and stone around her for comfort. When Queen Adalyn was pulled into the Sildeyuir by the Yuir elves, she summoned many fey from her domain to fight for her. Gilda and other lampads were made to block underground passages, driving elves that sought to use them to launch counter attacks to destroy each other due to madness.

It was not long before the elves learned that their survival depended upon slaying such creatures by sight, and it was only by chance that Gilda’s cave remained isolated. Being the last of her kind did not change her morbid and sullen attitude, and she would remain in the Faengard for many years until a cave in caused the paladin Aldrin to stumble upon the pool of tears in which she resided. After deciding to bring her along, Gilda developed an abnormal attachment with the paladin, something between love and obsession.
