Defense Bonus

House Rules

All characters gain a defense bonus to their AC dependent on their class and level. The defense bonus does not stack with an armor bonus to AC: only the highest bonus applies. Like an armor bonus, a defense bonus does not improve a character’s touch AC but does improve flat-footed AC. For multiclass characters, determine defense bonus by using the class providing the best defense bonus and calculating using the character’s total level. Creatures with only racial hit dice or only NPC class levels do not receive a defense bonus.
